Spanish Police Arrest Moroccan Fugitive Wanted for Major Cannabis Smuggling Operation

A Moroccan wanted by Morocco for international drug trafficking was arrested last Thursday by the Velez-Malaga police in southern Spain.
The fugitive, AJ, 37 years old, who is the subject of an international arrest warrant, was apprehended last Thursday in Vélez-Málaga, according to a statement from the national police made public on Monday.
The defendant, very active in international drug trafficking, tried to cross the Guergarate border post (Moroccan Sahara) with a truck full of more than 7,000 kilos of cannabis resin hidden in A4 paper.
Taken into custody, at the disposal of the justice system, he faces a 10-year prison sentence in Morocco if extradited.
