Spanish Pilot Arrested After Drug-Smuggling Plane Crashes Near Tangier

The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie arrested a Spanish national who attempted an emergency landing southeast of Tangier on November 30. The plane was transporting drugs and collided with a truck.
According to judicial sources, the forced landing took place in the village of El Aouama, about 30 kilometers southeast of Tangier, reports the EFE agency. The Spanish pilot had tried to make an emergency landing on this road but collided with a truck. The plane was transporting drugs. The Spanish national was trying to smuggle the drugs into Spain. He was arrested by the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie after the incident.
This is not the first time that a plane has been used to transport drugs to Spain. In early November, the Civil Guard elements operating in Ceuta had arrested several individuals suspected of using drones to transport drugs from Morocco to Spain.
