Drug-Smuggling Plane Crashes Near Tangier, Spanish Pilot Arrested

The plane that crashed in Tangier on November 30 was a former aircraft transporting drugs to Spain. After the arrest of the driver, a Spanish pilot, an investigation is underway to identify the instigators of this drug trafficking network.
The former plane had taken off near a residential area on the road connecting Sebt Zinnatt and Dar Chaoui near Tangier, and the noise of the aircraft had woken the residents, reports Al Akhbar. They even recorded and handed over videos to the Royal Gendarmerie showing the pilot, a Spanish citizen, heating the engine of the plane for several minutes before takeoff.
According to witnesses, 4x4 vehicles transported the cargo (of drugs) to the plane. As the plane was taking off, it hit a garbage truck. Consequence: the wing of the aircraft was hit, and the crash was inevitable. The pilot was slightly injured.
After the incident, he fled but was arrested by the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie. At the scene, traces of the tires of the vehicles that transported the drugs were found.
For now, the investigators are continuing the investigations to identify the instigators of this drug trafficking network.
