Toni Roderic, one of the leaders of the Spanish Green party, becomes Jamal. He came to Morocco last weekend. And he went to visit the Zawiya Boutchichiya.
Toni Roderic, or rather Jamal Roderic, has, according to Noonpress, converted to Islam. The latter is the leader of the Green party in Spain and would have, according to the same source, used a methodical rational method in his study of Islam, a religion in which he would have found himself, after comparing it to other religions.
Came to Morocco last weekend, he would have gone to the Zaouia of Madagh (Kadiriya Boutchichiya), in Berkane. "He was accompanied by a number of Moroccan and Spanish officials," Noonpress specifies.
He would have met Sheikh Jamal Boutchichi, the leader of the brotherhood, after the death of his father, Sheikh Hamza. Sheikh Jamal Eddine Boutchichi had, after this death, presented his condolences to King Mohammed VI.
"King Mohammed VI received today, Friday, at the Royal Palace in Casablanca, Jamal Eddine Al Boutchichi Al Qadiri, who presented the sovereign with condolences following the death of his father Sheikh Hamza Al Qadiri Boutchich," the MAP wrote at the time.
