Spanish Far-Right Senator Calls for Expulsion of Comatose Moroccan Patient from Ceuta Hospital

Plunged into a deep coma for more than 5 years, Samir, a young Moroccan, is threatened with expulsion from the Ceuta hospital. The Advisor of the Spanish far-right party, VOX, has questioned the medical coverage he is receiving.
On April 21, 2015, Samir was the victim of a traffic accident. While cycling in Ceuta, the young upholsterer was run over by a driver, whose identity has never been revealed. The young man, who was taken care of at the hospital in the Spanish enclave, has been in a deep coma ever since.
The intervention of the VOX senator, according to the Spanish media El Faro de Ceuta, has sparked a wave of outrage. Victim of an accident without witnesses in the Spanish city, the young man, whose mother has been by his side for 5 years, is supposed to be covered by the autonomous government.
For the senator of the far-right party, the Moroccan citizen no longer justifies his stay in the hospital and the competent authorities must therefore set a deadline for his hospitalization.
