Far-Right Spanish Party Vox Proposes Visa Ban for North African Immigrants

The Spanish far-right political party Vox proposes the suspension of entry visas to Europe for Algerians, Mauritanians and Moroccans. This proposal will be the subject of debate in the Congress of Deputies.
This proposal was registered in the Congress of Deputies on November 27, 2020. Vox proposes the suspension of the issuance or granting of entry visas to Europe for all nationals of countries of origin of irregular and clandestine immigration such as Algeria, Morocco and Mauritania until these countries begin to readmit at their borders all illegal immigrants leaving their coasts towards Spain.
Similarly, the leaders of this far-right party call on European institutions to impose economic sanctions on Morocco, Algeria and Mauritania for the same reasons. Another proposal: to report to international organizations the aggression suffered by Spain, by the North African states not controlling the irregular traffic of people directed towards the Spanish coasts.
Under the articles of the National Security Act, Vox also calls for declaring the migration crisis as a matter of national security interest. It will be a question of deploying all the necessary and sufficient human and material resources to "prevent, protect and discourage the landing of ships with illegal immigrants on Spanish territory".
