Spanish Civil Guard Rescues Moroccan Man Attempting Bridge Jump in Madrid

The Spanish Civil Guard rescued on Tuesday a 26-year-old Moroccan man who tried to jump off a bridge in Madrid.
The young man had jumped over the bridge barriers and was hanging in the air, holding onto the bridge. The emergency service, alerted to the situation by several drivers, quickly dispatched agents to the scene, according to 20minutos.
Once on site, the agents cut off traffic and tried to reassure the young man who did not want to cooperate. They then positioned an intercity bus from the region underneath the bridge, in order to prevent the Moroccan from falling into the void.
In the end, the agents managed to save the young man who was transferred to the hospital in an ambulance. His psychiatric condition will be evaluated.
