Moroccan Man Arrested in Spain for Alleged Hate Crime Against Sahrawi Woman

The 33-year-old victim filed a complaint on June 24 at the main police station in Navalmoral against the Moroccan who allegedly insulted and threatened her with death in the middle of the street and in front of her 8-year-old son, the Civil Guard said in a statement.

According to the Sahrawi woman, the young man approached her and, in an aggressive tone, hurled insults at her like: "All those who are from the Polisario Front are shit. The next time I see you, I’m going to kill you..." The woman said she had already been the victim of verbal aggression from the Moroccan a few days earlier.

Based on this complaint, the young man, residing in the same city, was arrested and prosecuted for a hate crime. He was released pending trial.
