Spanish and Turkish Police Arrest Moroccan ISIS Fighter Near Syrian Border

A Moroccan jihadist who had stayed in Spain and fought in Syria was arrested on January 16 in Turkey, during a joint operation with the Spanish police.
The operation, carried out by the Spanish authorities, in collaboration with the Turkish police, reports the EFE agency, made it possible to arrest the jihadist in a Syrian locality near the border with Turkey.
The defendant was preparing to enter a European country, after having fought under the banner of the terrorist organization Daesh in Syria, the same source specifies.
According to the Iberian authorities, M.Q. now represents "an obvious risk to the security" of Spain.
