Spain to Recruit 19,000 Moroccan Women for Seasonal Berry Harvest

Some 19,000 Moroccans will travel to Spain this year for the berry harvest. This has just been decided by the Provincial Commission in charge of Contract Management.
Even if the Moroccan authorities put forward the figure of 19,000 women, the final decision rests with the Spanish employers, who will pick according to their needs.
In 2018, due to the delay in the recruitment file management period, only 14,411 seasonal workers had been able to obtain their ticket for the berry harvest campaign.
So, in order not to repeat the same mistake, the Moroccan authorities will bring forward the recruitment period, the first phase to take place as early as the end of November.
As for the harvest, the Moroccan authorities plan to organize at least four departure phases for southern Spain.
