Spain Lauds ’Excellent’ Cooperation with Morocco on Migration and Security

For several years, Morocco and Spain have maintained good cooperation and collaboration relations in all areas, said the Spanish Minister of the Interior.
In an interview with the Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, Fernando Grande-Marlaska recalled that the cooperation and collaboration relations with Morocco are excellent at all levels. "We have no problem with Morocco," he specified. He also praised the level of bilateral cooperation in security and police matters.
For the Spanish minister, this aspect of cooperation has helped reduce by 50% the number of illegal migrants arriving on the Spanish coasts in 2019. According to him, this cooperation and coordination with Morocco should be strengthened to counter this phenomenon, which has seen an increase during this health crisis due to the coronavirus.
