Spain and Morocco Strengthen Long-Standing Partnership Ahead of High-Level Meeting

The relationship between Morocco and Spain benefits from a solidity in view of the seriousness and the great ambitions that characterize them. The Spanish Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, stressed that the two states are "reliable partners for a long time".
Morocco and Spain have learned over decades to forge their relations on strategic and advantageous points in many sectors. "We are reliable partners for a long time. Our relations are of particular interest and we consider common issues with the confidence that characterizes our bilateral ties," said Grande Marlaska in statements reported Thursday by the MAP.
He indicated that the next High-Level Meeting (RHN) Morocco/Spain, scheduled for February, will be based on the principle of "transversality" and will focus on issues related to politics, industry, foreign policy, infrastructure and security. "The objective is to further consolidate our cooperation in these areas during this important meeting," he said, emphasizing the "global" nature of the relations between the two countries, according to the same source.
