Sidi Slimane Residents Alarmed by Surge in Snake and Rodent Sightings

Big panic in Sidi Slimane! The proliferation of rodents and reptiles is worrying the inhabitants of this locality.
Workers came across a large snake while working. The reptile was found in a square frequented by dozens of residents. In the absence of green spaces, these reptiles have made it a place of relaxation.
Faced with this proliferation of reptiles, the inhabitants call on the authorities of the commune as well as the competent health authorities, to take the necessary measures to put an end to this unusual presence of reptiles. They in particular demand that the commune comb the entire area in search of possible snake nests.
In addition to this area, the inhabitants of several other neighborhoods of the city are also complaining about the proliferation of rodents and reptiles. According to the same source, these neighborhoods have in common the proximity of agricultural farms and the banks of the Oued Baht.
In this regard, the inhabitants demand a large-scale decontamination operation of the city’s sewerage network in particular, as well as measures to protect them from the danger of rodents and reptiles.
