Severe Winter Weather Alert: Morocco Braces for Snow and High Winds

Morocco is not done with the cold, snowfall and strong gusts of wind. The National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) announces cold weather, at the orange level, from Sunday, in several provinces of the Kingdom.
It is in a special weather bulletin that the DMN issued the alert concerning the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, Midelt, Ifrane, Boulmane, Tinghir, the reliefs of Beni Mellal and Chichaoua, Ouarzazate, Figuig, Taourirt, Jerada, Sefrou, El Hajeb, Khenifra Taroudant and El Houceima.
All these provinces are affected by cold weather from Monday, January 20 to Wednesday, January 22. Regarding the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, Tinghir, Beni Mellal, Midelt, Ifrane, Khenifra, Sefrou and Boulmane, the DMN announces snowfall from 1,200 m from Sunday to Tuesday, January 21, according to the same source.
In addition, strong gusts of wind (75/95 km/h) will be recorded on Sunday in the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Midelt, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Tiznit, Sidi Ifni, Nador, Tinghir and Guelmim, concludes the press release.
