Severe Weather Hits Morocco: Heavy Rain, Snow, and Strong Winds Forecast Through Tuesday

The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts heavy sometimes thunderstorms, snowfall and strong gusts of wind this Monday and Tuesday in several provinces of the kingdom.
Persistence of bad weather in Morocco. Heavy sometimes thunderstorms ranging from 25 to 40 millimeters will hit, Tuesday from 12pm to 8pm, Ifrane, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Fez, El Hajeb, Meknes, Sidi Slimane, Khemisset and Khenifra, the DGM said in an orange alert bulletin. The same phenomenon (20-35 mm) will occur on Tuesday from 9am to 6pm in the provinces of Rabat, Salé, Skhirat-Témara, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Settat, Médiouna, Casablanca, Berrechid and Benslimane.
Similarly, snowfall ranging from 20 to 40 centimeters will affect Tuesday from 10am to 11pm the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Béni Mellal, Azilal, Khenifra and Midelt.
The DGM also announces that strong gusts of wind ranging from 75 to 90 km/h are expected, this Monday from 12pm to 11pm in the provinces of Guercif, Taourirt, Jerada, Figuig, Driouch, Nador, Boulemane, Taza, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Midelt, Tiznit, Tata and Taroudant.
