Heavy Snowfall and Storms Forecast Across Morocco: Up to 40cm Expected

The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts snowfall and sometimes stormy heavy rains from Thursday to Friday in several regions of the kingdom.
Snowfall of 20 to 40 cm will affect Friday above 1,200 m the provinces of Ifrane, Béni Mellal, Azilal, Khenifra, Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Boulemane and Midelt, the DGM said in an orange alert bulletin. Similarly, snowfall of 10 to 15 cm will be recorded in the provinces of Taroudant, Chichaoua, Taza, Guercif, Sefrou, Al Hoceima and Tinghir.
The DGM also announces sometimes stormy heavy rains (30 to 40 mm) from Thursday at 6:00 pm to Friday at 6:00 am in the provinces of Meknès, Khemisset, Khouribga, Settat and Benslimane.
