Severe Weather Alert: Morocco Braces for High Winds, Heavy Rain, and Snow

Wind gusts of up to 90 km/h, torrential rains and snowfall are expected until Monday in several Moroccan regions, warned the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
According to the DGM, violent winds blowing at a speed of 75 to 90 km/h will sweep the provinces of Guercif, Figuig, Jerada, Taourirt, Boulemane, Tinghir, Midelt, Errachidia, Zagora and Ouarzazate, from Sunday from 9 a.m. to Monday at 6 a.m.
This Sunday between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m., torrential rains that can sometimes turn into storms (20/40 mm) are expected in the provinces of Tetouan, Mdi’q-Fnideq, Al Hoceima, El Hajeb, Taza, Sefrou, Boulemane, Ifrane and Taounate.
In addition, above 2000 meters, significant snowfall (10/25 cm) is expected in the provinces of Azilal, Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Midelt and Tinghir, still according to the same source.
