Morocco Braces for Strong Winds and Snowfall Across Multiple Provinces

Morocco is preparing to face strong winds and snowfall in several provinces of the Kingdom. Other regions will also be affected by snow.
Strong gusts of wind, reaching 70 to 90 km/h, accompanied by local dust storms, are expected on Friday and Saturday. These gusts will affect the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Errachidia, Nador, Driouch, Guercif, Taourirt, Taza, Boulemane, Midelt and Guelmim.
Other provinces, including Assa-Zag, Sidi Ifni and the coasts of Chtouka-Aït-Baha, Agadir-Idaoutanane, Tiznit and Inezgane-Aït Melloul, will also experience less intense wind gusts, between 70 and 85 km/h.
In addition, snowfall is expected above 1,400 meters of altitude in the provinces of Guercif, Ifrane, Taza, Sefrou, Boulemane and Midelt.
The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued a special orange alert bulletin for these areas.
