Severe Weather Halts Ferry Service Between Spain and Morocco in Gibraltar Strait

The bad weather currently affecting the Strait of Gibraltar has forced the authorities to suspend maritime traffic between the ports of Tarifa, in southern Spain, and Tangier-City.
Thus, all connections between the two ports have been canceled since yesterday and several delays are currently affecting the boats departing from the port of Algeciras.
The bad weather is expected to last for a good part of the day and perhaps even Friday, due to the strong winds that have reached more than 70 km/h on Wednesday.
All travelers are therefore invited to favor the Tanger-Med ports as well as that of Ceuta and of course to check the website of the port of Tarifa before any departure.
