As every year, the various institutions in charge of the Marhaba 2019 operation are mobilizing to welcome Moroccans living abroad. The Tanger-Med port is no exception and reports on the various facilities put in place.
Referring to "global coordination", the Deputy General Manager of the Tanger-Med Port Authority (TMSA) Hassan Abkari indicated to the MAP that the objectives this year are to improve passenger comfort and optimize their transit time through the port for "a passage under the best conditions".
Among the improvements, the construction of a bridge allowing a physical separation of passenger and freight flows. The envelope released by the authorities amounts to some 25 million dirhams.
The port has also seen the construction of eight new sanitary blocks at the level of the registration and pre-boarding areas, as well as the strengthening of the number of shaded areas and catering points in the ticketing and pre-boarding areas, it is added.
The TMSA director also announces the installation of playgrounds for children and says he has "strengthened the assistance services for people with special needs, by setting up a dedicated, adapted circuit and their requirements, and increased the human resources with assistance, orientation, information and traffic management agents".
