Severe Weather Alert: Morocco Braces for Red-Level Thunderstorms and Hail
Several provinces of Al Hoceima and other regions of the Kingdom are facing heavy thunderstorms with hail, at "Red" and "Orange" levels, from Sunday, September 8 to Monday, September 9.
New alert in the Kingdom. According to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN), the forecasts announce heavy thunderstorms with hail, at "Red" level, on Sunday, September 8, in the provinces of Al Hoceima, Driouch and Nador.
The provinces of Berkane, Boulemane, Chefchaouen, Guercig, Jerada, Ouezzane, Oujda, Sefrou, Taounate, Taourirt, Taza and Tétouan are also affected by these showers, at "Orange" level, on Sunday from 11am to 10pm, the DMN bulletin specifies.
In addition, heavy thunderstorms with hail, at "Orange" level, will occur on Sunday from 10pm to Monday at 6am, in the provinces of Berkane, Guercif, Jerada, Oujda and Taourirt, and in the provinces of Driouch and Nador on Sunday at 6pm to Monday at 6am, the same source details.
