Severe Weather Alert: Morocco Braces for Heavy Rain, Snow, and Strong Winds

Heavy rains with thunderstorms, strong gusts of wind and snowfall are expected from Wednesday to Friday in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the Moroccan Meteorological Directorate.
In an orange alert, the DMN indicates that heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected in the provinces of Safi, Taroudant, Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Errachidia and Midelt from Wednesday at 6pm to Thursday at 8am, the DMN said.
In the provinces of Taza, Boulemane, Fez, El Hajaeb, Khemisset, El Jadida and Essaouira, moderate thunderstorms, accompanied locally by hail, are expected on Wednesday afternoon and at night.
As for the provinces of Midelt, Boulmane, Azilal, Al Haouz, Taroudant, Chichaoua, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Figuig, Jerada, Guercif, Taourirte, Oujda and Berkane, they will be hit by strong gusts of wind ranging from 75 to 90km/h from Thursday to Friday.
In addition, snowfall up to 2m is expected from Wednesday at 6pm to Thursday at 12pm in the provinces of Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Azilal and Midelt.
