Severe Cold and Snow Alert Issued for Morocco as Temperatures Drop Below Freezing

It will be very cold in Morocco starting tomorrow with temperatures below 0 in several regions of the kingdom, the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) just warned in a special weather bulletin.
Thus, snowfall, rain or showers and especially cold weather are expected from Monday to next Wednesday, according to this bulletin. From 1,500 meters altitude, snowfall of 15 to 40 cm is expected in the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, Chichaoua, Midelt, Ouarzazate and Taroudant.
Showers that can sometimes be thunderstorms are expected tomorrow afternoon in Essaouira and Safi and a little later in the provinces of Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Marrakech and Taroudant.
On the temperature side, it will be -5 to 0 degrees on Tuesday morning in Midelt, Azilal, Tinghir, Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Chichaoua and Taroudant and 2 to 7 degrees in the afternoon. The cities of Boulemane, Ifrane, Midelt, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Tinghir, Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Chichaoua, Taroudant and Bouarfa will record temperatures between -6 and 1 degree in the morning and 3 to 8 degrees in the afternoon.
