Heavy Snowfall and Thunderstorms Forecast for Morocco’s Mountain Regions

It will be cold this weekend in Morocco with heavy snowfall in some regions, the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) has just informed in a special bulletin. Thunderstorms are also expected.
Thus, 20 to 40 cm of snow is expected in the provinces of Azilal, Al Haouz, Beni Mellal and Midelt from Saturday midnight until Sunday at 10am, DMN specifies.
Today from 4pm until Sunday at 7am, it is thunderstorms sometimes locally heavy that are expected in the provinces of Azilal, Al Haouz, Chichaoua and Taroudant, while on Sunday showers are expected on the Mediterranean coast, the Rif and the north of the Oriental.
Yesterday, Friday, strong gusts of wind up to 80 km/h had hit Agadir Ida Outanane, Inezegane-Ait Melloul, Chtouka Ait Baha, Sidi Ifni, Guelmim, Assa Zag and Midelt.
