Senior Moroccan Police Officer Arrested in Casablanca for Recruitment Fraud Scheme

The judicial police brigade of the Anfa security district in Casablanca proceeded, on Saturday, July 4, to bring a senior police officer before the competent prosecutor’s office. He would be involved in a case of fraud on the grounds of fictitious recruitment.
The judicial police conducted a preliminary investigation on the basis of complaints from people who were victims of fraud on the grounds of fictitious recruitment into the police ranks, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The investigation led to the arrest of the main suspect and a woman presumed to be an accomplice in acts of fraud in exchange for sums of money, the same source said. The continuation of the research and investigations made it possible to discover that a police officer would also be involved in this case. The senior officer and the other accomplices were brought before the competent prosecutor’s office.
