Moroccan Police Sergeant Under Investigation for Alleged Fraud Scheme

A police sergeant who would be involved in a fraud case is the subject of a judicial investigation. It is being conducted by the Judicial Police Brigade of the Mehdia Provincial Security District under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
It all started with a complaint filed by a person accusing an individual of judicial identity theft and fraud. The latter would have promised him to intervene to reduce the prison sentence imposed on a relative, indicates a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), specifying that the research and investigations carried out on May 5 made it possible to arrest the main suspect, a 77-year-old retiree.
Further research and investigations led the investigators to a sergeant who is currently on long-term sick leave in Casablanca. He would be involved in these criminal acts. The police officer was taken into custody for the investigation opened to shed light on this case. The DGSN is awaiting the completion of the judicial investigation to decide on the administrative procedures to be taken in accordance with the status of National Security officials.
