Senior Moroccan Police Officer Arrested for Bribery in Temara

A senior peace officer was arrested yesterday, Wednesday, January 16, in Temara in flagrante delicto of corruption by the national brigade of the judicial police.
"The national brigade of the judicial police heard a complainant who claimed that the suspect police officer had demanded a sum of money as a bribe," says the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a statement, according to which "based on this information, the judicial police notified the competent prosecutor’s office before proceeding to arrest the incriminated officer in flagrante delicto."
"The accused was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to elucidate the ins and outs of this case," says the DGSN, which assures that "this operation is part of the efforts to fight financial crimes and to establish the values of integrity and transparency within the security services."
