Senior Education Official Arrested in Morocco for Impersonation and Fraud Scheme

The Salé police elements arrested a civil servant serving at the Ministry of National Education for fraud, usurpation of function and breach of trust.
The suspect was in the habit of posing as a senior DGSN official, a senior civil servant at the Ministry of the Interior or a Justice official, and promised her victims permits or even finding them jobs in the police and gendarmerie.
It was the complaint of one of her victims that allowed the police to arrest her. She had taken the sum of 180,000 dirhams from this victim in exchange for the promise of a transport permit, reports the daily Assabah which points out that she has already made dozens of victims all over Morocco. The first attempts to arrest her failed and the police had to issue a nationwide arrest warrant against her.
For the moment, the police have been able to identify 14 victims from Errachidia and a few others from Midelt. She made them believe that she is a DGSN cadre, and that she has the ability to find them positions within the institution for a certain sum. Many have given her thousands of dirhams either in cash or in the form of a money order.
