Rabat Police Inspector Among 10 Arrested in Major Fraud and Extortion Ring

In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated that one of the suspects was guilty of fraud by trying to extort 1 million dirhams from a man in order to provide him with red mercury to be used in the field of "roqya" practice. This is a set of spiritual methods supposed to cure occult diseases through the recitation of Quranic verses.

The research and investigations allowed the police to discover the involvement in this case of a person known to the police services for fraud, as well as two police officers banned from the police for years, and who had the money that would come from this criminal activity. To succeed in their coup, they were able to benefit from the help of the arrested police inspector, who received a large sum in exchange for the service rendered.

The ten suspects were taken into custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation opened in order to determine all the gray areas in this case, identify all the other accomplices.
