Marrakech Police Bust Real Estate Fraud Ring, Arrest Four Suspects

The elements of the judicial police of Marrakech arrested on Wednesday four people for their involvement in a case of extortion of real estate, falsification of official documents and fraud.
According to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the four suspects spoliated three properties belonging to others. They illegally obtained the documents of these properties from a private security agent in charge of monitoring the building of the land registry of Marrakech.
They were about to conclude sales contracts with fraudulent transfer of the real estate when they were arrested by the police who were monitoring them following numerous complaints received. Many personal documents, architectural and technical design plans, forged property certificates and sales contracts, and several sales compromises were seized.
Pending the discovery of all the ramifications of this case, and the identification of all the people involved in what appears to be a criminal network, the four suspects have been taken into custody.
