Casablanca Police Arrest 32, Including Minors, for Soccer Match Violence and Drug Offenses

More arrests for hooliganism in Casablanca. 32 individuals, including 15 minors, were apprehended by the Casablanca police services yesterday, Sunday, before and after the Wydad match against the Nigerian club Rivers United.
The arrested persons are accused of alleged involvement in cases of drug use, public drunkenness, hooliganism and violence against the security forces.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), most of the suspects arrested before the match had bladed weapons, drugs and exhibited violent behavior towards the police. As for those who were arrested after the match, they threw stones, causing material damage.
Pending the conclusion of the investigation opened by the police, the adult suspects have been placed in custody.
