Fez Police Bust Drug Rings: 26 Arrested in Major Crackdown on Criminal Networks

About twenty people were arrested by elements of the prefectural judicial police service in Fez, for their involvement in the activities of several criminal gangs active in the possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The 26 suspects were arrested during several simultaneous security operations carried out in different neighborhoods of Fez, said the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release. These networks were mostly composed of repeat offenders wanted for their alleged involvement in criminal acts such as drug trafficking and violent crimes.
In addition to the 26 arrests, the searches carried out made it possible to seize 8 kilograms of cannabis, three cars, several doses of cocaine, bladed weapons and sums of money that would be the proceeds of these criminal activities, the DGSN specified.
The accused were placed in custody, pending the investigation opened to determine all the criminal acts attributed to them.
