Security Alert at Paris Orly Airport: Suspicious Object Halts Flights to Casablanca

Paris Orly Airport was paralyzed for several hours yesterday following the discovery of a suspicious object in the luggage of a passenger who was to fly to Casablanca on a Royal Air Maroc flight.
" Security perimeter set up at the South terminal of Paris-#Orly following the discovery of a suspicious bag. Check-ins are currently suspended. More information to follow. ", the airport management wrote on Twitter.
The security services quickly evacuated halls A and B following the discovery of an "ignition device". According to the newspaper Le Parisien, the bomb disposal experts were called in and found that it was ultimately just a connected shoe with luminous elements.
For the sub-prefect in charge of security at Paris-Orly airport, "This case is not one in fact," adding that the traveler was taken into custody and the investigation entrusted to the judicial police of Val-de-Marne. It would be, still according to the newspaper, a journalist from a famous women’s fashion magazine.
