An Algerian national, who also holds French nationality, was arrested on Tuesday by police at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca.
The man is subject to an international arrest warrant issued via Interpol by the French authorities. He is accused of "terrorist financing, criminal conspiracy and apology for acts of terrorism," the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
"The accused, 36 years old, was apprehended on his arrival at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca from Algeria," the statement read, noting that "the defendant was subjected to arrest procedures after the identification operation revealed that he was the subject of an international arrest warrant from the French judicial authorities since April 22, 2016."
Placed in custody, the man, whose identity has not been revealed, will be extradited to France, the same source said, adding that the French authorities have been informed.
