Marrakech Airport Hits 5.2 Million Passenger Milestone, Sees 21% Growth in 2018

More than 5.2 million passengers transited through Marrakech-Menara airport last year, nearly a million more than in 2017.
According to figures just released by the National Airports Office (ONDA), the airport in the ochre city welcomed exactly 5,279,575 travelers, compared to 4,366,263 travelers a year earlier, an increase of 20.9%. Marrakech-Menara represents 23.4% of total passenger traffic, far behind Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca (43.2%).
At the national level, the top spot goes to the Marrakech-Paris Orly route, which alone totaled 57,235 passengers, or 3.2% of the total, then Mohammed V-Paris Orly with 53,268 travelers (3.09%) and Mohammed V-Paris Charles de Gaulle which totaled 46,379 travelers.
All Moroccan airports are in the green with increases ranging from 4.97% for Tangier to 25.38% for Essaouira-Mogador International Airport.
