Nigerian Traveler Arrested at Casablanca Airport with 5 kg of Cocaine from Brazil

A Nigerian national was arrested on Sunday by the police at the Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca on charges of drug trafficking.
According to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the suspect was apprehended upon his arrival at the airport on a flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil, in possession of 5.13 kilograms of cocaine hidden in his personal luggage.
The suspect has been taken into custody pending his appearance before a judge, the DGSN said.
The last arrest for drug trafficking at Casablanca airport dates back to December 24. On that day, two men, a Namibian and a South African, had been arrested for cocaine trafficking in their intestines. They also came from Brazil.
