Scorching 50°C Heatwave Grips Morocco: Marrakech and Southern Provinces Brace for Record-Breaking Temperatures
A heat wave is expected from Sunday to Tuesday in Morocco, with temperatures approaching 50 degrees, warns the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
Thus, up to 48 degrees are expected in the southern provinces such as Zagora, Tata and Assa-Zag. Other regions, including Marrakech and El Kelaa des Sraghna, will also experience heat peaks exceeding 42 degrees. This is what the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) indicates in an orange alert bulletin covering the period from Sunday to Tuesday.
Similarly, a heatwave, with temperatures between 42 and 44 degrees, is also expected on Sunday and Monday in the provinces of Fquih Ben Salah, El Kelaa des Sraghna and Marrakech, the same source specifies.
