Morocco Braces for Scorching Heat Wave: Temperatures to Soar Past 47°C Nationwide

A major heat wave will sweep across Morocco this week. The thermometer should climb between 40 and 47°C in many provinces. No region is spared.
A heat wave is expected until Friday in several Moroccan provinces, with temperatures between 40 and 47°C, announced the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
Temperatures between 44 and 47°C should be recorded until Friday in the provinces of Errachidia, Zagora, Taroudant, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Oued Eddahab and Aousserd, indicates the DGM in an orange alert bulletin.
Similarly, temperatures ranging from 40 to 44°C are expected this Thursday in the provinces of Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Meknes, Khenifra, Fez, Moulay Yaacoub, Taounate, Taza, Ouezzane, Guelmim, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Benslimane, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Essaouira, Marrakech, Rehamna, Khemisset, Sidi Bennour and Youssoufia.
