Morocco Braces for Scorching Heat Wave: Temperatures to Soar Past 47°C in Multiple Regions

A heat wave will affect several Moroccan regions starting Tuesday, July 15, according to an alert bulletin published by the General Directorate of Meteorology. The episode should last until Friday, July 18, with maximum temperatures between 40 and 47 °C.
The bulletin reports temperatures ranging from 44 to 47 °C in the provinces of Errachidia, Zagora, Taroudant, Tata, Assa-Zag, Smara, Oued Ed-Dahab and Aousserd. These forecasts have led to the issuance of an orange level alert.
Other provinces should record temperatures between 40 and 44 °C between Tuesday and Thursday. These are: Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Meknès, Khenifra, Fès, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Taza, Ouezzane, Guelmim, Agadir Ida-Outanane, Inezgane-Aït Melloul, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Ben Slimane, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Kalaat Sraghna, Essaouira, Marrakech, Rhamna, Khemisset, Sidi Bennour and Youssoufia.
