Extreme Heat Alert: Morocco Braces for 45°C Temperatures in Widespread Heatwave

The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an orange level vigilance alert due to a heatwave episode expected from Monday to Wednesday next week, with temperature increases in a large part of the country.
In detail, temperatures ranging between 42 and 45 °C are expected in a good portion of Moroccan provinces: Taounate, Ouezzane, Larache, Khemisset, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Moulay Yacoub, El Kelaâ des Sraghna, Marrakech, Rehamna, Tata, Zagora, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Oued Ed-Dahab and Aousserd.
The DGM bulletin also reports temperature forecasts between 38 and 42 °C in Fès, Meknès, Taza, Guercif, Khenifra, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Youssoufia, Sidi Bennour, Taroudant, Guelmim, Errachidia, as well as Benslimane, Berrechid, Salé and Skhirate-Temara.
