Saudi Arabia’s Hidden Role in Israel-Morocco Diplomatic Deal Revealed

Saudi Arabia would be the invisible hand behind the normalization of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel.
Saudi Arabia played a role in the normalization agreement negotiated by US President Donald Trump between Israel and Morocco, diplomatic sources told Channel 12 on Friday. However, the official report does not mention Saudi involvement in this agreement. Riyadh has not yet reacted.
Saudi Arabia is known for its central role in the region, particularly among Sunni states. In late November, Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu had secretly traveled to Neom for a tripartite meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
All of which leads many analysts to believe that the recent normalization agreements were obtained thanks to Riyadh. Israeli diplomatic sources also told the same television channel that Saudi Arabia could in turn normalize its relations with Israel.
