Moroccan Civil Servants to See 28% Salary Boost as Government Rolls Out Second Pay Hike

This measure completes the salary revaluation set at 1,000 net dirhams per month, the payment of which has been divided into two installments. The Delegate Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament specified that the first tranche, amounting to 500 dirhams, was paid on July 1, 2024, and that the second tranche will follow in the coming days.

According to the data communicated by the minister, this increase will have a direct impact on the average net monthly salary within the civil service. It will increase from 8,237 dirhams to 10,600 dirhams over the course of 2025, representing a 28.7% increase.

The revaluation also applies to the minimum wage in the public sector. It will see a 50% increase, going from 3,000 dirhams to 4,500 dirhams. According to the spokesperson, this approach aims to improve the social situation of civil servants and strengthen their purchasing power.
