Saïdia Beach Faces Backlash Over Lack of Public Restrooms

In this summer season, the city of Saïdia is experiencing an influx of tourists and Moroccans from abroad. The latter suffer from the lack of toilets on the city’s beach. The wooden public toilets installed along the Corniche are always closed, forcing vacationers to turn to the toilets of cafes and restaurants to relieve themselves. This often forces them to consume.

This lack of sanitary facilities on the Saïdia beach has sparked strong criticism from visitors. They have expressed their dissatisfaction on social media and called on the competent authorities to urgently find a solution to this problem.

The Saïdia municipal council has not yet spoken on the subject. Vacationers hope for an improvement of the situation as soon as possible. The issue of sanitary facilities on the beach was on the agenda of a session of the Saïdia municipal council held two weeks ago. But no action has been observed since then.
