Tourists Decry Unsanitary Beaches and Traffic Chaos in Moroccan Resort Town Martil
Tourists who visited the town of Martil this summer claim to have had a bad vacation due to unsanitary conditions on the beaches, poor quality of tourist services and traffic jams.
Ruined vacations for the summer visitors of Martil. This coastal town located in northern Morocco attracts many tourists every summer. This year, visitors claim to have had a bad experience in the city for several reasons. They mention in particular the unsanitary conditions on the beach and its surroundings, the traffic difficulties in the city due to anarchic parking and monstrous traffic jams, the bad smells polluting the air on the beach, the overcrowding of the promenade by food and drink stalls which, in addition to offering poor quality services, contribute to the unsanitary conditions of the city.
Vacationers also denounce the lack of hygiene in public toilets, as well as the exaggerated rise in prices and the poor quality of tourist services (cafes, restaurants and hotels). All these recurring problems are damaging the image of the city of Martil as a tourist destination and are pushing many visitors to prefer other destinations offering better services at affordable costs. Local authorities are called upon to correct the situation and take measures to improve the appeal of the city so that it continues to be a popular destination for tourists during the summer season.
