Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov Meets with Morocco’s King Mohammed VI, Deepening Strategic Partnership

On an official visit to Morocco, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was received in audience by King Mohammed VI.
"This audience is part of the Deepened Strategic Partnership, sealed on the occasion of the historic visit of His Majesty the King to Moscow in March 2016. This exceptional partnership has enabled a deep and multidimensional development of relations between the two countries and has opened up ambitious prospects for enhancing political dialogue and strengthening economic and sectoral cooperation," says a statement from the Royal Cabinet.
The Moroccan sovereign "reiterated on this occasion the invitation addressed to the President of the Russian Federation, His Excellency Mr. Vladimir Putin, to make an official visit to Morocco," the statement said.
"The Russian Foreign Minister conveyed to His Majesty the King a message of friendship and greetings from His Excellency Mr. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and praised the regional and international leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI," it is written.
In addition to various regional and international issues, the talks also focused on the Middle East and Africa.
