Royal Air Maroc Offers Flexible Refunds and Changes for COVID-Canceled Flights

With these new commercial provisions, "customers can change their travel date and destination without restrictions and as many times as they wish without penalties, to plan their next trips with peace of mind," says a document from the company’s Customer Relations Department.

The airline also offers customers who do not currently have a travel plan "a refund of the value of their tickets against a credit note whose validity has been extended for the occasion to 18 months, from the date of its issue." This credit note is refundable at the end of its validity, the document specifies.

Here are the updated provisions:

• Passengers concerned: all tickets issued before June 30, 2020 inclusive, or passengers of canceled flights as a result of the covid-19 crisis, on the entire Royal Air Maroc network (including prime tickets);

• Initial travel date: from March 6 to October 31, 2020 inclusive;

• Change of dates: allowed, unlimited and free of charge;

• Change of destination: allowed before departure, unlimited number of changes and free of charge;

• Conditions: change in the same fare class.

A fare difference is applicable in case of unavailability of the initial class or change of destination.

Ticket changes can be made through travel agencies or via the RAM call center, reachable at the email address callcenter@royalairmaroc.com;

• New travel dates: until October 31, 2020. It is possible to extend the return date beyond this date to keep the same length of stay;

• Refund:

o Individual tickets: allowed against a nominative credit note valid for 18 months, from the date of its issue. The credit note is refundable in cash at the end of its validity. The issuance of the credit note is done through travel agencies or through the RAM call center;

o Group tickets issued / account tickets: allowed against a credit note to be issued by the travel agency in its own name for later use (validity of 18 months / non-refundable).

The issuance is subject to the prior written agreement of the Royal Air Maroc representation and the general delegation to which the partner travel agency is attached.

The agreement is given on the basis of supporting documents to be provided by the agency (purchase order, proof of payment or any other evidence).
