Royal Air Maroc Extends Refund Policy for COVID-19 Affected Flights

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has improved its commercial measures for the benefit of passengers affected by the coronavirus or who will be. With the appearance of covid-19, the airline had canceled all of its flights.
RAM is one of the airlines ordered by UFC-Que Choisir to refund in cash the canceled flights due to the coronavirus. The Moroccan company has decided to extend the dates of application of the "special provisions" implemented to support customers "traveling to and from risk exposure areas".
"In an effort to continuously monitor the evolution of the situation, and following the suspension of all its international flights," RAM has updated these provisions by expanding the eligibility to tickets issued during the month of May and the initial travel date until the month of August, the airline said.
These commercial measures concern passengers whose tickets were issued before May 31, 2020 inclusive, or passengers whose flights have been canceled due to the global health crisis throughout the Royal Air Maroc network (including prime tickets). Including the initial travel date: before August 31, 2020 inclusive; 1 change free of charge; change to the same destination and same fare class (fare difference applicable in case of unavailability of the initial class); new travel dates: until October 31, 2020 (possibility to extend the return date beyond this date to maintain the same length of stay). Similarly, the other fare conditions of the ticket remain applicable.
Ticket changes "can be made through your travel agency or via our call center at callcenter@royalairmaroc.com," the airline said. These provisions "remain valid until the normal resumption of activity or new notification," the company concluded.
