Royal Air Maroc and American Airlines Forge Alliance to Expand US-Morocco Air Routes

A new alliance is expected between the Moroccan airline, Royal Air Maroc and the American giant, American Airlines, an association that will help boost the services of the two operators on both sides of the planet.
According to the American press, a joint application has been filed with the US Department of Transportation, with a view to benefiting from the code-sharing agreement, allowing optimal coverage of airspace in the United States and Morocco.
Bolstered by its official membership in the "One World" alliance, which should take shape in the first quarter of 2020, RAM has just finalized a first partnership agreement with the American company.
An American Airlines executive provides his analysis: "Our goal is to present additional choices to our customers, allowing them to enjoy renowned African destinations, such as Marrakech, Accra or Lagos. Working in this direction should strengthen the partnership between the two companies."
In addition, the American company will inaugurate its first air link with the African continent, starting June 4, 2020, through a Philadelphia-Casablanca route, which will be operated by Boeing 757 aircraft.
