American Airlines Cancels New Philadelphia-Casablanca Route Amid Pandemic Travel Restrictions

Restrictions on international travel are forcing airlines to revise their planned schedules for the summer season. The inaugural flight planned between Philadelphia and Casablanca, next summer, has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Initially scheduled for June 4, this inaugural flight of the American company with the hub of its new partner, Oneworld Royal Air Maroc, has been suspended, reports the site "The Points Guy".
This agreement, signed in Casablanca last January, establishes strong cooperation links between the two companies and is part of Royal Air Maroc’s project to join the Oneworld alliance, of which American Airlines is a founding member.
According to the same site, this agreement is not expected to be finalized. The American plane, which was supposed to go to Morocco, a Boeing 757, has been withdrawn and grounded. It is replaced by an Airbus A321XL and will not be able to fly again before 2025, it is specified.
