Royal Air Maroc Adds Emergency Flights Between Morocco and Portugal Amid Travel Restrictions

Following the announcement of the suspension of special flights to repatriate Moroccans stranded abroad from December 23, the airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) plans to operate new flights (subject to special authorization) on December 20 and 21, 2021 between Morocco and Portugal in both directions.
"The flights are scheduled from Casablanca to Lisbon and from Lisbon to Casablanca. They are also accessible to Moroccan citizens and all Moroccans stranded abroad regardless of their country of origin, in strict compliance with the health requirements of departure and arrival," specifies Royal Air Maroc on its Twitter account.
Only Moroccans residing in Morocco, who left the country on October 1, 2021, as well as their accompanying spouses and children, can benefit from these flights, RAM reminds. These people must present their national identity card or passport proving their address as well as a PCR test less than 48 hours old.
This week, the airline announced that it would operate a special flight from Portugal to Morocco this Saturday, December 18, 2021.
